Good Thursday!
A very good day was had on Thursday, the last working day before the Easter weekend. Local volunteers offereed their help with planting a hedge in the North Field, and it was an enjoyable and productive day. A mixture of hawthorn, blackthorn, silver birch, dog rose, and hazel were planted. Strictly speaking it is slightly late to be planting trees (best time is when they are dormant in winter) but they have had a good water and should fare well. Before we are able to do any planting on site we need to ensure the new cap on the landfill up to the right level and the right shape, however this as you can imagine, is dependent on weather conditions being favourable.
